About This Tool

This tool uses the browser's Web Audio API to generate synthetic tones. By strictly isolating the audio output to specific stereo panning nodes, it perfectly verifies hardware audio separation.

FAQs

1. Why do I hear sound from both sides during a single-channel test?

Your audio device might be set to "Mono" mode in your operating system's accessibility settings, or your headphones might not be fully plugged in.

2. Why is there no sound at all?

Check if your system volume is muted, or if the browser tab itself has been muted. Also ensure your speakers are turned on.

3. Does this work with Bluetooth headphones?

Yes. As long as your Bluetooth headphones support stereo output, the left/right isolation tests will work perfectly.
